Mod Now, Finish Break In Later: Shafique's M2

Performance Technic

As many eager BMW enthusiasts take delivery of their M2s, it's only to be expected that we will start seeing the platform come to life in all different flavors. Shafique received his M2 at the end of December, and wasted no time in starting his build.

Seen above: Shafique's S54 powered E36 M3 build alongside the new M2 project. If you've followed the E36, then you should have suspected that the M2 would be something to keep your eye on...

With about 75 miles clocked on the odometer, Shafique decided it was time to leave the car with us. Stock cars just don't cut it for some people, and that's perfectly fine in our book. Truthfully, most of the parts arrived before the car itself did, so we already had an arsenal on hand.

One of the most exciting features of the car is this beautiful set of BBS E88 wheels, with faces finished in a timeless gold.

Suspension was one of the items on the list, so we outfitted the car with KW V3 coilovers. This is a popular pick for street cars. This suspension offers comfortable performance and sufficient ride height adjustability, which makes it a versatile choice.

Next came Dinan exhaust and carbon fiber intake, as well as cosmetics such as reflector deletes, spoiler, diffuser, and front RKP lip.

Once the car was dialed in, we took it for some photos to debut its new look. This is just the first round, so stay tuned for future changes. We have no doubt that Shafique will continue to add his own twist to it, just as he did with his E36.
