Community and Cause: Food Drive + Open House
Performance Technic
For those who have been with us at the shop over the last 9+ years, you know that we enjoy hosting a variety of events at our space. Each time we have moved to a new location, we have put on an Open House event to welcome our customers to a new home of PTech. Our move to Fremont was a big one, and it took some time to get settled and back in the groove. That said, our typical Open House celebration was postponed—until now.
This time, we decided to combine our Open House with a charitable cause. We teamed up with the Alameda County Community Food Bank to collect canned food and dry goods donations for the coming holiday season. During a time of year that is so focused on family and gratefulness, we must remain aware of those who are in need. A food drive seemed to be one of the best ways for us to help those who desperately need it. We put out a call to the automotive community to help make this drive a success, and you did not disappoint. All said and done, we collected just over 1,000 lbs of food in addition to monetary donations. To us, that’s a huge deal, and we want to thank each and every one of you who showed up with donations and supported such an important cause. This event was a testament to the goodhearted spirit of this community, and we are so proud to be a part of it.
Side note: If you couldn’t make the Open House but would still like to donate to the ACCFB, you can donate online here. For every $1 donated, you help provide $7 worth of food for someone in need.
Last but not least, we’ve shared a photo recap of the event below. The turn out was wonderful and tons of great cars were displayed. We hope you enjoyed the event, and we look forward to seeing you at our Cars, Coffee and Toy Drive on December 1st!
